The Government ' s legal administration has criticized the bill on medical waste.
In mid-July, the Office of Legal Affairs provided a response to a draft law proposing that the A-A debris be treated as solid public waste (SC) and that specialized operators be identified for classes B, B and partly G.
The draft law does not define different classes of medical waste (which is included in the São Peñez profile) and its relationship to the classification of waste by hazard class is indicated in the withdrawal. Legal management has commented on how the amendments describe the treatment of nurses. In addition, the draft law envisages the establishment of a roster of specialized operators with a sanitary epidemiological opinion, but what requirements would be required for such findings are not specified. The same applies to the requirements for disposal and disposal sites.
The bill was submitted to the State in May by a group of senators and deputies and is being prepared for consideration on first reading.
