The largest grants in 2024 will go to medical projects in the “new” territories

The Presidential Grants Fund has summed up the results of the first competition in 2024. A total of 4.4 billion rubles have been distributed, which will be received by 1,559 non-profit organizations for tasks in 11 areas. In the direction of “Protecting the health of citizens and promoting a healthy lifestyle,” the largest amounts will be received by NPOs implementing projects in new regions. Several winning projects intend to provide prosthetics to wounded combatants. For example, the Memory of Generations fund will receive 28.8 million rubles. (the total cost of the project is 72.2 million) for “the provision of high-tech medical care - in particular, prosthetic limbs and referral for comprehensive rehabilitation to military personnel of the Russian Federation, as well as the LPR and DPR.” At least 20 combat veterans will be able to receive assistance with prosthetics and rehabilitation, the project description says. The Volgograd Medical Chamber plans to provide prostheses (exoskeletons EXAR-34) to 40 veterans of a military operation with wounds of the upper extremities as part of its project “Wings of Hope - to the Heroes of the Northern Military District” (14.8 million rubles, the cost of the entire project is 22.6 million ). The fund for the fight against intestinal cancer (colorectal cancer) from the Rostov region will receive 21.4 million rubles. (out of the required 31.4 million) for “the formation of a medical cluster with a multidisciplinary approach to prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with intestinal cancer in new regions of the Russian Federation.” Thanks to the project, 24 doctors will be trained (including at Sechenov University), a diagnostic department and a practice-oriented smart-Endoscopy laboratory will be opened on the basis of the Regional Clinical Center named after. FMBA will allocate 2.2 billion rubles for the creation of industrial medicine centers

The head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia, Veronika Skvortsova, said that the agency will allocate 2.173 billion rubles in 2024 to create industrial medicine centers. In total, according to the official, such facilities are planned to open in more than twenty cities of seventeen regions - in Moscow and the region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Crimea, Udmurtia, Murmansk, Tver, Samara, Penza, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Tomsk regions, Stavropol and the Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, Anna Popova, has changed the procedure for carrying out measures to prevent influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and the new coronavirus infection in the 2023-2024 epidemic season. Waste from the use of radiation equipment will become mandatory for disposal

The Government of the Russian Federation has updated the decree with a list of goods, packaging and waste from which are subject to disposal, and also introduced new minimum volumes of mandatory disposal. The updated list, among other things, included medical products that were not previously included in the document: radiation diagnostic instruments and installations, radiation flaw detectors with obtaining information from the volume, radiation non-destructive testing devices, as well as medical rubber gloves, mittens and mitts.
