The EEC Council extended the validity of the Rules for determining the country of origin of goods
The EEC Council extended until the end of 2025 the validity of Appendix No. 1-1 to the Rules for determining the country of origin of goods for public procurement. The list of such goods currently includes more than 7 thousand industrial goods, 340 of which are medical products.
The Ministry of Health will approve requirements for the transportation and disposal of medical waste
The Ministry of Health has developed a draft resolution on the approval of requirements (except for sanitary and epidemiological ones) for the procedure for the provision of services for the transportation and disposal of medical waste of classes "B", "C" and "G" (except for extremely hazardous and highly hazardous waste similar in composition). The document is being publicly discussed until February 21.
To transport or render harmless medical waste, the person whose work generated the medical waste must enter into an agreement with a state enterprise or person who provides the relevant services. After concluding the agreement, the contractor must provide the customer with the following information three working days before transporting the medical waste:
- a list of employees responsible for transporting medical waste;
- a list of vehicles intended for transporting medical waste, indicating their brands and state registration numbers.
The contractor must hand over to the employees responsible for transportation documents indicating the class and weight of medical waste.

Crimea will receive 2.4 billion rubles for healthcare modernization in 2025
In Crimea, it is planned to build 70 healthcare facilities for 19 medical organizations in 2025 using funds from the new national project “Long and Active Life”. The list includes two outpatient clinics, 35 medical clinics and 33 feldsher-obstetric stations (FAP), the head of the region Sergey Aksenov said on February 6 in his telegram channel.
In addition, major repairs are planned for five outpatient clinics, 10 FAPs and two outpatient clinics, as well as the purchase of 51 units of medical equipment and 46 vehicles.

The NTI Competence Center "Bionic Engineering in Medicine" at the Samara State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has developed a device for dentists MioFace. It allows you to measure muscle tension levels in patients during various dental procedures. The obtained data is presented in the form of graphs and digital values, which dentists use to prescribe treatment or determine the need for surgical intervention.

Samara State Medical University has developed software for planning and performing surgeries using VR technologies
Samara State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health has developed CoVRS (Collaborative Virtual Reality Surgery) software for visualizing patient images in 3D format, supporting medical decision-making and validating an intervention plan during a remote multi-user consultation between doctors from any region using VR technologies. The development significantly increases the availability of high-tech care.
The software is used at all stages of interventions: planning, adjustment during implementation and evaluation of the results of the operation. CoVRS allows segmentation of 3D models with various visualization settings, highlighting the necessary zones, visualizing preoperative access using a virtual medical tool. The finished project with the changes made can be transferred to the Autoplan navigation system for intraoperative control.

Sechenov University has created an AI to help doctors predict lung cancer metastases
Scientists from Sechenov University have developed a neural network to detect lymphovascular invasion in lung tissue samples with adenocarcinoma. This will allow them to more accurately and quickly determine the risks of developing metastases and, if necessary, change the patient's treatment regimen. The work was carried out together with colleagues from Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University as part of the program for the creation and development of the National Center for Medical Research "Digital Biodesign and Personalized Healthcare". The results of the study were published in the Journal of Pathology Informatics.
