FEFU has developed an anti-tremor non-invasive neurostimulator

Scientists from the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) conducted the first tests of a prototype anti-tremor non-invasive neurostimulator on five patients with Parkinson's disease and essential tremor. The device can reduce tremors by up to 80%. The neurostimulator is the first domestic device of this type. It allows you to suppress tremors without surgery or drug therapy. At this stage of development, according to bioengineer Alexander Artemenko, positive dynamics can be observed, but the indicators of tremor activity decrease in each case by an individual percentage. Scientists from FEFU plan to conduct additional research to improve the stability of the results. Also, by the time the device is released on the market, the creators want to reduce the size of the neurostimulator to the size of a wristwatch. The estimated release date of the device is 2025. The development of an anti-tremor neurostimulator is carried out with the support of the Priority 2030 program. According to the leading neurosurgeon of the FEFU Medical Complex, Artur Biktimirov, there is only one analogue of the device under development in the world, produced in the USA.

Rostec began clinical testing of the HIFU therapy complex DIATER-M

Clinical testing will take place in two stages and will last about six months. The developer, the Shvabe holding and the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant, plans to obtain the first results in the summer of 2024. After this, the medical complex will be put into mass production. HIFU is used to treat and remove tumors without surgery, which significantly reduces the rehabilitation period for patients. This method is considered one of the safest in the world. It does not require anesthesia or the administration of strong drugs. Chelyabinsk OFAS canceled the purchase of 100 million rubles for clothing for medical workers

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Chelyabinsk Region ordered the regional Ministry of Health to cancel a purchase worth 99.9 million rubles to find a contractor for sewing clothing for doctors due to “significant violations of the law.” The customer required about 5 thousand medical suits for 35 medical institutions in the same style. A complaint about the tender was filed by the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, which is applying for a government contract. According to the society, which supported the OFAS, the customer determined the terms of the purchase in such a way that the deaf society was not able to take part in the auction. The service also noted: “it is impossible to make an unambiguous conclusion about what needs to be done as part of the provision of this service.”
