The Ministry of Health of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Ministry of Health of the Syrian Arab Republic intend to develop and expand cooperation in the field of circulation, production of medicines and medical products, as well as their supplies. This is stated in the memorandum that was signed in Moscow, as reported in the telegram channel of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Areas of cooperation include joint scientific development of medicines and medical devices with their further introduction into production, ensuring their availability for citizens of states, as well as the implementation of joint investment projects in the production of medicines and medical devices.

The production of individual endoprostheses at SamSMU was the first in Russia to successfully pass the inspection of Roszdravnadzor

The Research Institute of Bionics and Personalized Medicine of Samara State Medical University, which is engaged in the development and production of individual and serial endoprostheses, was the first in the Russian Federation to successfully pass the test of Roszdravnadzor of Russia according to new standards. The Scientific Research Institute of SamSMU has become a manufacturer of individual endoprostheses, included in the register of medical manufacturers, whose quality management system meets the requirements of the ISO 13485 standard.

The scope of inspection of Roszdravnadzor includes individual medical implants performed according to the anthropometric parameters of the patient. They are produced at research institutes from titanium, ceramics (zirconium dioxide), high molecular weight polyethylene, cobalt-chrome, and they also produce combined products from these materials.

Altai University has created a phonendoscope for remote diagnosis of children

Scientists at Altai State University have developed Russia's first phonendoscope for children with a breathing recording system. This will allow the pediatrician to establish a more accurate diagnosis at a distance, the university portal reports. The SCO countries became interested in the invention.

A “smart” phonendoscope includes a head that is specially connected to a voice recorder. To record breathing, simply place the device on the child’s chest. Breathing sounds are recorded and saved on any device: smartphone. tablet or computer. The device can be used by a paramedic or the child’s parents themselves.

Joint prosthetics using a robotic arm began in Novosibirsk

In Novosibirsk, SRITO surgeons began performing knee replacement surgeries using the Mako robotic system, which allows for high-precision installation of the prosthesis. TASS reported this.

The robotic system is used in endoprosthetics of the hip, knee and foot joints.

The patient’s tomography data is loaded into the system; the operation is carried out taking into account the anatomy of the patient’s joint. The robot ensures compliance with the intended boundaries and stability of the tool position. In this case, the responsibility for monitoring the operation lies with the surgeon.
